Judy Jeute (Author)
My first book is a childrens story called Llucky Llama. It is written from the perspective of my lead llama, Marcel; who is a rescue llama. That means that Marcel took a little time and patience when he came to live at The Royal Ranch. Love, tolerance and kindness; that is what my message is all about. My name is Judy Jeute (pronounced Judy Judy) and I was born and raised in Colorado and feel truly blessed to live, love, and write about these spectacular surroundings.
In 2011 I am so excited because this is the year I launch my Author visits! Now, I am not just any old Author, I am a Colorado Native that is quite passionate about her surroundings. I have been hiking these mountains and exploring in them for years; and have gathered a collection of objects I am just thrilled to share with the public. Things like beaver skulls with the teeth still in them, hides from beavers and moose and fox (all professionally taxidermied, don't worry). Rocks and crystals from this majestic area...even dried flowers.
So along with a visit from an Author, if your group allows it, Marcel or another llama may join Judy Jeute and her basket of nature....and you can learn about the back country; and how to be a good steward of the Rocky Mountains, without even leaving the grounds of your learning environment.
With advanced notice, Illustrator/Author visits are also available. Judy is quite proud of the fact that this book is entirely produced in her hometown of Bailey, Colorado. The illustrator, Leeta Burns is a local college student.
Also included with Author Visits will be complete acces to Teacher Resources. I will have a worksheet for before I come and one for after our visit to really help the class come full circle with such a fun filled and adventurous learning Author Visit.
